Need help setting up your AutoCAD! check out these popular topics below.

Installation

Autodesk makes most of their software like AutoCAD and Revit available for free to faculty and students (cool right?).

For the 2013-14 academic year, Marymount is using AutoCAD 2014.
Download AutoCAD 2014 here.

Once you've downloaded and installed the software on your laptop, you'll need to authorize the software with your private serial number provided on Autodesk's download page.

note: If this is your first time downloading software from Autodesk, you'll need to create a new account.

Install Plot Styles

Here are instructions to install the plot styles on your home computer.

1. Download MU-Full.ctb from http://bit.ly/mu-ctb
2. OPEN AutoCAD
3. in the command prompt (bottom text input area) type STYLESMANAGER and press ENTER. AutoCAD will open the folder on your computer where the plot styles (CTB files) are stored.
4. Copy MU-Full.ctb to this folder.
5. In the plot dialog box, select the appropriate plot style and print.

(If the new plot styles do not show up in the plot dialog box, you may need to close and re-open AutoCAD)
